At Valley Trust, our strength lies in our people. Led by our manager, Ally Silver, and supported by a committed board of trustees, we work together to ensure children, young people, and families across Surrey receive the counselling and support they need.

Ally Silver
General Manager
Ally leads the Valley Trust team, managing our services, partnerships, and day-to-day operations. With a strong background in [add Ally’s area of expertise once confirmed], she ensures we deliver high-quality support and build lasting relationships with the schools and communities we serve. Ally is passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives and supporting the counsellors who work with them.
Our Trustees
Our trustees bring wide-ranging expertise and guidance, helping Valley Trust grow and remain focused on its mission.

Richard Fernie, BSc FRSA
Richard has extensive business experience, having been Managing Director of several major plc subsidiaries. More recently, he has focused on buying into and growing smaller businesses.

Anjula Sharma Smith,
BACP Accred.
Anjula is a clinical supervisor and counsellor specialising in work with young people, both in private practice and in schools for Valley Trust. She serves on the Board as our Clinical Lead.

Ben Elger
Ben is Chief Executive at the Office of the Independent Adjudicator for Higher Education, based in Reading. His knowledge of the schools environment is a valuable asset to the Trust.

Amanda Kirkpatrick
Amanda is a Business Development Manager with 18 years’ experience in the professional services sector, helping law, accountancy, and consultancy firms grow their client base and revenues.

Peter Stansfield, BA (Hons)
Peter recently retired after a 38-year career in industry and commerce, where he worked at director level in human resources across a range of blue-chip companies.
